Privacy
Selling EU compliance tooling while running a sloppy data operation would be its own punchline. Here is everything.
This site
- No cookies. None. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no pixel, no heatmap.
- No third-party scripts, fonts or embeds. Everything is served from this domain. The pages use your operating system's own fonts.
- Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. We do not add to them and we do not analyse them.
The scanner
Scans are anonymous and we store nothing.
- Paste-source mode runs entirely in your browser. The HTML you paste is never sent anywhere. You can disconnect from the network and it still works.
- URL mode passes the address to a small server-side helper that fetches the page, because a browser cannot fetch a third-party page itself. That helper stores nothing — not the URL, not the result, not your address.
- We deliberately do not log scanned URLs. A common and entirely reasonable use of this tool is an agency quietly checking a client's site before admitting there is a problem, and logging that would break the thing that makes it useful.
If you give us your email
The scanner offers to send you the recipe pack. If you use it:
- We store your email address, the fact that you ticked the consent box, and the time you did. That timestamp exists because it is the only proof consent was given.
- We do not store the URL you scanned, your IP address, or your browser's user agent. Your address is not linked to anything you scanned.
- Purpose: sending you the Article 50 implementation recipes, and occasional notes when the guidance changes. Nothing else.
- We never sell, rent or share the list.
- Unsubscribe is one click in every message, and removes you entirely.
Consent is the legal basis. You can withdraw it at any time, and you can ask for a copy of what we hold or for it to be deleted.
What is not live yet
Honesty about this deployment. At the time of writing, the email sign-up is not connected to a mail provider, and URL scanning may not be available. Both are built and both fail visibly rather than silently: if you submit the form and it is not live, the page tells you so rather than thanking you for signing up to nothing.
Everything the sign-up would send you is free and ungated on the widget page anyway.
The widget we publish
If you install our widget on your own site, it collects nothing from your visitors. No cookies, no localStorage, no network requests, no fingerprinting, no telemetry back to us. It renders a sentence and stops. This is deliberate: installing it must not create a new data-protection obligation for you.
Data protection contact
Disclosed is published pseudonymously. A contact route for data protection requests will be published alongside the mailing list, before any address is collected. If you are reading this and the sign-up form is live but this section still says "will be published", that is a bug — please treat it as one and do not sign up.
